How do I get help?

Signing up for Faith in Action's services is easy! All it takes is an  assessment over the phone or in person. There are no age or income restrictions or long term commitment.

The steps listed below explain how to sign up and receive our volunteer services.

Please call us today.
Contact Us

Step One

It all begins with a call or email. Contact Faith in Action and tell us about your request. We will answer any questions you have about our services and how we can best help you out. Sometimes that means a referral, but more often than not we are able to help directly. Our goal is to provide support and give you options.

Step Two

Once you contact us and give us an idea of what your needs are, we will ask you questions over the phone or send a staff member out to your home for a quick and easy assessment. The purpose of the assessment is to better get to know you and your current needs and clarify our service policy. Click this link to see our Service Policies.

Step Three

Once you have had an assessment we can get you matched up with a volunteer. If you have future/upcoming appointments or requests, we ask that you give Faith in Action a minimum of 2 days notice. This helps us arrange for a volunteer in time. If you have a last minute request you can still call the office, but there is a greater chance we will NOT find a volunteer in time.

Step Four

Once we have you matched with a volunteer, we will call you to give you their name and let you know when they will arrive. Our friendly volunteers love to meet new people and lend a helping hand. All Faith in Action volunteers have received training and passed background checks.

Step Five

Let us know how we did. Our volunteer may give you an envelope at the end of your time together (feel free to ask for one). This envelope has a short survey on the inside. We would love for you to fill it out and mail it back to us. Getting feedback from the people we have helped is very important to us. If you wish to add a donation, we are very grateful but it is not required.
